Steve Earle

Steve Earle's new album is set for release on April 26th, it will be called 'I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive' a nod to the Hank Williams song of the same title.

I was lucky enough to see Steve play a live acoustic show at last years Electric Picnic where he played a song called 'This City'  featured on the album which was recorded for the excellent HBO TV series 'Treme' set in New Orleans. He also stars in the first series which is due for a dvd release later this month.

Another track called 'Waiting For The Sky'  from the forthcoming album is available for a free download by following the link below along with a chapter from Steve's debut novel also titled 'I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive'.

It looks like  it could be a pretty hectic year for who I think is one of America's most prolific songwriters.
