This was released just late last year and was actually the original plan in 1996 to merge African and Cuban musicians together. Unfortunately the plans were put on hold due to difficulties getting this project into motion.
A new project emerged in 1996 due to these change of plans and it became The Buena Vista Social Club but that's another story....
